Most projects are open to the whole workspace. A sensitive one is granted to named people or to a whole role, and the rule is enforced in the database rather than the interface.
A finished project comes off the active list and out of everyone's My tasks, keeps its history, and can be brought back.
Everyone on a task, and the conversation about it
One person is accountable, and collaborators sit beside them. A collaborator sees the task in their own My tasks — being added is how you hand somebody in, not just how you tell them.
Ask the question on the task instead of in a channel where it scrolls away. @mention a teammate in a comment and they're notified; reply to what they said and the thread stays readable.
Break a task into subtasks, give each one its own owner, and the parent counts them off as they're finished.
Share a project or a task straight into chat
The same menu that offers your teammates also offers tasks, projects, SOPs and SOP folders. No copying links, no "which one did you mean".
Send it, and anyone in the channel can click straight through to the real project or the real task — not a screenshot of it, and not a stale paste.
Chat and projects are the same app, sharing the same people and the same permissions. There's nothing to connect and no integration to keep alive.

A task doesn't need a project. The small day-to-day things live here too, grouped under "No project", without cluttering the team's boards.

Questions about projects & tasks
A task has one assignee — the person accountable for it — and any number of collaborators working on it with them. Both see it in their own My tasks, so a collaborator can't miss it. There is no difference in what they're allowed to change.
It's your own view, not a private space. My tasks separates your work from the team's boards so you're not digging through five projects to find your day — but a task that belongs to no project can be read by anyone in your workspace, and will turn up in their search. Put anything sensitive in a private project instead.
Admins and managers. Its name, color, description and who can see it are then editable by an admin or by whoever created it. Everyone else works inside the projects they can see — creating tasks, assigning them, adding collaborators and commenting.
The rule lives in the database, not the app, so a project you have no access to is never sent to your browser in the first place. The people it reaches are the ones you granted it to, whoever created it, and your admins and managers — who keep oversight of every project by design.
Yes — three ways. Assigning a task notifies the person it went to, a comment that @mentions someone notifies them, and a nightly job raises a reminder for anything due the next day.
